NEN NORM EN 1125
Any new or replacement application for anti-panic hardware must comply with European legislation for safety. The European standard EN 1125 deals with anti-panic equipment that is used in public spaces and buildings. This standard is central to ensuring a safe and effective escape route. An escape route that can be operated with minimal effort, without being informed in advance of its operation. The CE mark is depicted on the anti-panic closures. This is to indicate that the products have been independently tested and assessed according to the most recent European EN 1125 standard.
From April 2003 all manufacturers are obliged to test their products on fire doors and emergency exits against the requirements of the CE mark. Anti-panic fittings for emergency doors (door handles) and Anti-panic fittings with a push pad must never be used in areas that are freely accessible to the public. This attachment is only intended for personnel who know their operation, as well as the escape route. The anti-panic fittings will meet the requirements in accordance with EN 179. Implementation and application advice of anti-panic fittings with pushpad are identical to the version with push bar.
