The GfS Exit Control is mounted under the door handle in such a way that it prevents it from being operated and thus secures the door handle or shoot bolt. The door can only be opened if the door guard is first turned to the side. It then engages in its inclined position and releases the operating path for the handle. At the same time, a loud acoustic alarm sounds. This means that the door can be opened in case of danger, but the alarm signal warns of unauthorised use. The responsible caretaker, technician etc. can only reset the door guard with a key and thus stop the alarm. The door guard can be used for right-hand or left-hand doors. Pictograms on the door guard and on the door indicate the direction in which it must be swivelled. The swivelling direction is set by the customer using a dowel pin (included in the scope of delivery).
